Sawyer found H&NP during rehab: "If I would have known about H&NP earlier, I believe I would have been a lot less angry, and a lot happier."

 

Dan spent 55 years keeping his struggles with SCI locked inside. At 79, his wife encouraged him to attend his first H&NP meeting. "It was the hardest thing I've ever done," he admits. Now he shows up for others at every event.

Pavlo lived isolated for 30+ years after his injury, brought to the US with a massive language barrier and few resources. He showed up skeptical to his first event. After trying adaptive tennis, he grabbed his phone and typed: "I played for the very first time!!"
