What We're About

Here Now Next connects youth and young adults (ages 18–25) who use wheelchairs or have other mobility disabilities with mentors who’ve been there.

Whether you’ve always used a wheelchair or are rebuilding your life after an injury, we create space for real conversations about what matters to you.

This isn’t about fixing anyone. It’s about growing alongside people who’ve navigated similar experiences and can share what they’ve learned.

How It Works

Start with Group Meetups
Everyone begins by joining our monthly in-person group gatherings.

For your second meetup each month, you can choose from any Here & Now Project community event—virtual or in-person—across Washington.

Make Connections
As you get to know others, you’ll naturally find people who share your interests, background, or sense of humor.
There’s no forced matching—relationships grow organically and at your pace.

Flexible by Design
Life happens. We get it. The program adapts to your circumstances—whether you prefer virtual meetups, need transportation assistance, or have a changing schedule.
