A night of community, connection, and the universal joy of dance
Dancing Without Limits

Back on March 20th, we gathered at Washington Hall for an unforgettable evening with Dance Church and the Here and Now Project. The energy in the room said it all: dance is a universal language that belongs to everyone, each of us accessing it in our own authentic way.
There was no “right” way to dance — just people showing up as they were and moving in ways that felt good. It wasn’t about performance; it was about presence.
How the Night Unfolded
We started things off with a warm welcome and some time to connect. Then came a vibrant 45-minute Dance Church class led by Lavinia Vago, supported by the incredible Carlin Kramer, Kiné Camara, and Kit Wyatt.

The class offered a space where movement of all kinds was not just accepted but embraced. Whether seated, standing, rolling, or stretching — every expression added something meaningful to the mix. The room buzzed with music, joy, and spontaneous moments of connection.

After the Dance
Of course, no great event is complete without great food—and Cornelly Pizza came through in spectacular fashion. Their generous donation of incredible pizza transformed our post-class social time into a full-on community gathering. As everyone relaxed, ate, and hung out together, it was the perfect reminder that connection doesn't end when the music stops.

Also, we want to give a shoutout to Dixin Yan for capturing beautiful moments from the event, both in a video and photos. He's always so generous with his talent, and we appreciate him tremendously!
Why This Matters
This event showed what’s possible when two like-minded organizations come together. The Here and Now Project builds community for people with paralysis and mobility disabilities, while Dance Church creates space for every body to experience the joy of movement. At their core, both believe that true community happens when everyone is welcomed just as they are.
Coming This Fall
The March event was such a hit, we’re doing it again! We hope you’ll join us:
📅 Thursday, October 9th at Washington Hall
Come dance with us in a space where you’re free to move just as you are.
In the meantime, you can learn more about the Here and Now Project here, and check out Dance Church’s blog post about the event for another beautiful perspective on the night.

When we move together — no matter how we move — we build something that goes far beyond dance. Thank you to everyone who helped make this night possible. We can’t wait to do it again.
