The Here and Now Project's mission is to connect and empower the paralysis community in the Pacific Northwest. Through private support groups, community activities and larger annual gatherings, we have built a fellowship who encourage and inspire each other to “Do Life” in the here and now.
CONNECT - EMPOWER - DO LIFE
At the Here and Now Project, we understand that a paralysis diagnosis can be a serious detour in life, but it doesn’t have to be a roadblock. The interchange of experience with others in similar circumstances provides strength and hope as we build more enhanced, accessible, and independent lives.
The Here and Now Project’s calendar of events includes a rotating calendar of private support meetings, seasonal gatherings and activities, and educational forums. We also collaborate with other organizations to create opportunities that build meaningful connections within the community.
TO HELP EACH OTHER - WE FIND EACH OTHER
Adapting to a life of limited mobility is challenging! The prospect of connecting with people in a similar situation may be daunting. Therefore, we are in the process of creating the Here and Now Project Survivors and Supporters Map. Our goal is to launch the map in 2020 so paralysis survivors and supporters can see they are not alone.
